David Benavidez has always left fans in absolute awe with his performances inside the ring. However, this time, the boxing world was also impressed by Benavidez’s skills during a recent sparring session. Every time the Mexican Monster enters the ring, he seems to have the ability to dominate his opponents with ease. This time it was undefeated super-middleweight contender, Vladimir Shishkin. He has a record of 15-0 with 9 KOs.

Shishkin is an accomplished professional boxer in his own right, but he was no match for Benavidez. The video showed Benavidez wearing yellow headgear and a white and green pair of gloves as he dominated the sparring session. During the sparring session, YouTube boxer, Jake Paul was ringside and spoke to Benavidez briefly at the end of a round.

Benavidez revealed that he has only been in training camp for two weeks, and Paul responded by stating that Shishkin is a 3rd or 4th-ranked super-middleweight contender. However, this is incorrect, as Shishkin currently holds 8th place and Benavidez holds 2nd place in the rankings.

Regardless, Benavidez acknowledged that Shishkin was a good boxer and proceeded with the sparring. Subsequently, Benavidez’s solid uppercuts, precise hooks, and quick jabs painted a picture of a man who was ready for his next fight.

David Benavidez’s advice for Paul ahead of the Tyson fight

Paul and Benavidez seem to be getting along quite well, which is rare since most boxers despise celebrity boxers. Furthermore, Benavidez is very close to Mike Tyson and even received his nickname ‘Mexican Monster’ from him. As such, Benavidez surprised Paul and gave him some advice about how to handle Tyson inside the ring.

Paul is scheduled to fight Tyson on July 20, as they have already signed the contract for the live Netflix boxing event. Furthermore, the unexpected fight caught the boxing world off guard, as fans speculated the outcome. In addition, Benavidez gave some advice to Paul for the fight and stated:

The key for Jake Paul is to play with Tyson’s game. Stay with the jab and fire right hands. Jake’s got a lot to learn before he can realistically compete with the sixth-longest reigning Heavyweight Champion.
