Ryan Garcia has been claiming that his fight with Devin Haney is not in jeopardy. Fans have been worried about the match because of his strange antics on social media. Furthermore, ahead of the fight, Garcia also admitted to consuming alcohol and marijuana. This was followed by several mental breakdowns in which he went on strange rants on social media. This concerning behavior even caught the attention of the NY boxing commission, which requested that Garcia do a mental evaluation before the fight.
However, Garcia has been firmly shooting down these claims about him not being fit to fight on April 20. As such, ‘KingRy’ has also been frequently showing fans glimpses of his training camp. Most of the clips are underwhelming and even make fans more concerned about Garcia’s performance in the upcoming fight. Subsequently, Garcia has now uploaded a video of his hard sparring on social media and in the video he stated:

In the video, we can see Ryan Garcia fighting two different opponents during his sparring session. Furthermore, Garcia is wearing blue headgear while raining down a flurry of punches at his opponents. In addition, ‘KingRy’ can be seen landing powerful and solid punches while breaking through his sparring partner’s guard.
The video does show that Garcia is looking swift and agile for the upcoming fight and appears to be ready. However, it should be noted that the video was edited to only show moments where Garcia landed significant blows and does not show the entire sparring session. This can be misleading to the fans.
UFC star believes Ryan Garcia is having a weed-induced maniac episode
The clips of Garcia’s training are not enough to convince fans that he is in peak fighting condition. This is primarily because of his posts and videos where he appears to have a mental breakdown. Recently, this happened after the NY boxing commission asked him to take a mental evaluation before the fight.

Subsequently, Garcia went on social media to fire back at the NY boxing commission. The troubled boxer also claimed that his tweets were part of his constitutional right to free speech. While reacting to this, UFC star Jake Shields believes that the request for the mental evaluation is valid.
Furthermore, Shields believes that Garcia is having a weed-induced maniac episode, which is causing his erratic behavior. This is a valid allegation since Garcia himself admitted to consuming marijuana during the press conference for the fight.
