Rare footage of a teenage Mike Tyson during intense sparring sessions has resurfaced.

The late ‘80s and early ‘90s saw the emergence of a new breed of fighter known as Mike Tyson. Known as ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’, Tyson still lives up to the nickname to this day. In addition, Tyson is arguably the most feared puncher in heavyweight boxing history. Even though he lost his power by the time he was done, Tyson’s early years will always be remembered as an example of how cruel a young boxer can be.
Recently, ‘Iron Mike’ posted footage of his teenage training sessions, which captivated some fans immensely. This captivating footage is not only a treat for boxing fans but also sheds light on the remarkable journey of a young prodigy destined for greatness. Subsequently, the video takes us back to a time when Mike Tyson was just a teenager. Even at such a tender age, his talent and natural ability were evident. The footage reflects the sheer power behind his punches and the speed with which he moves in the ring.

After witnessing this, it becomes clear that Tyson was far beyond his years in terms of skill and technique. His opponent, who appeared to be more experienced, struggled to keep up with Tyson’s relentless onslaught. The young fighter’s quick footwork, lightning-fast jabs, and devastating hooks left his sparring partner bewildered and overwhelmed.
Furthermore, after watching the footage closely, one can observe Tyson’s impeccable defensive skills. His head movement and ability to dodge punches were remarkable, even at such a young age. The skills he gained during this phase with his mentor, Cus D’Amato, eventually led to him becoming the heavyweight champion.
The first time Lennox Lewis met Mike Tyson for sparring
Lennox Lewis once revealed that he would often have sparring sessions with a young Tyson. Both future heavyweight champions were too good for other guys their age and were good sparring partners for each other.

In an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Lewis spoke about the first time he met Tyson. Lewis had claimed the World Junior title and was told about Tyson, and Lewis boarded a plane to meet him. Lewis thought he had already faced the best that the USA had, but Tyson had not yet made his official debut.
Furthermore, Lewis met Tyson and stated that he was 17 years old at the time and was a nice guy. Subsequently, they had about three sparring sessions, and Lewis stated that Tyson fought very vigorously. On the first two days, Tyson had the upper hand, but on the third day, Lewis was able to manage a lot better.
