Jake Paul gets praise from Tony Bellew
Jake Paul is finally getting the stamp of approval from the boxing community as he matches up with professional boxer Hasim Rahman Jr for his next professional bout. English boxer Tony Bellew praises the YouTuber for finally fighting a professional boxer.
Jake Paul might have a record of 5-0 in his professional boxing career but a lot of the purists in the boxing world do not believe that feat is legitimate as the YouTuber never fought a professional boxer in his career. All of Jake’s wins come against former MMA champions, Youtuber, and a retired basketball player. Jake’s pure motive has been to be the biggest hit in the boxing world and all of his opponents have been handpicked to create excitement among fans.
Finally, the YouTube boxer has decided to take on someone who could earn him some credibility with a win. After Jake’s rival Tommy Fury pulled out for the second time ahead of the fight, the Paul brother decided to fight 12-1 professional boxer Hasim Rahman Jr in a fight. The fight takes place at the Madison Square Garden on August 6th.

Tony Bellew calls Jake Paul’s next opponent a “proper boxer”
“Ya can’t knock Jake Paul for his next opponent! He’s boxing a proper boxer! Fair play.. he’s also guaranteeing these proper boxers there highest ever paydays,” said Tony in a tweet after the announcement of the new Paul brother fight.
Jake has not only taken over the boxing world by storm with his post and pre-fight antics but the fighter has also managed to actually do a lot of good to boxers and fight for the pay of fighters in the MMA community. Jake started his own promotion called the “Most Valuable Promotions” which manages legendary female boxer, Amanda Serrano. Jake was one of the main reasons why the super fight between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano took place at the Madison Square Garden.
Jake and Hasim already have some history as the two have previously sparred together and got into a scuffle. It will interesting to see how the YouTube boxer will fair against a professional boxer for the first time.
