The interim WBO heavyweight champion, Zhilei ‘Big Bang’ Zhang is set to fight Joseph Parker on March 8. The fight is part of the Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou fight card set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Parker’s last fight was against Deontay Wilder on December 20, 2023, in which he was able to defeat ‘The Bronze Bomber’. Similarly, Zhang’s last fight was his rematch against Joe Joyce in September 2023, in which he emerged victorious yet again.
The upcoming fight is important for both fighters since they have both suffered losses in the last year and a half. Hence, another loss would affect their ranking in the heavyweight division and their future potential fights. In addition, Zhilei Zhang is set to make his second title defense after acquiring the belt in April 2023 from Joyce. As such, Zhang is quite motivated and confident after his back-to-back knockout victories and issued a warning to Parker, stating:

In addition, Zhang revealed that he is currently enduring a training camp in hell. Zhang then stated that the gates of hell will open and the ‘Big Bang’ will enter the ring with the fire of hell. Zhang asserted that he was going to burn his opponent to ashes and dust.
Zhang is well aware of the stakes of his upcoming fight and remains confident in himself. Subsequently, the 40-year-old Chinese boxer is ready to duke it out with Parker and win via a potential knockout.

Zhang’s stamina issues cost him in the Jerry Forrest and Filip Hrgovic fights, as he was gasping for air in the final rounds. Hence, if he runs out of gas against Parker, he could have a tough time the same way Wilder did.
However, Zhang is confident that he will be able to unleash his big shots on Parker even if the fight reaches the final rounds. As such, Zhang maintained his confidence in his skills and his training camp. Subsequently, fans reacted to Zhang’s strange ‘bang you’ warning by stating, “This gotta be sexual harassment.”
Fans found Zhang’s ‘bang’ amusing since his native language isn’t English and he only knows rough translations. Furthermore, fans complimented Queensberry Promotion’s marketing team since they knew the pun in Zhang’s warning.
