Tyson Fury slams Anthony Joshua

Tyson Fury yet again criticized  Heavyweight rival Anthony Joshua by commenting on his recent poor performances.

The “Gypsy King” was all set to take on Joshua last year. But, things changed and he took the fight with his old nemesis Deontay Wilder. The trilogy fight took place on October 9, 2021, at the T-Mobile Arena in Nevada, USA. Fury won the fight via a brutal KO in the eleventh round and shut down the chapter with Wilder for once and for all.

On the contrary, Joshua suffered a shocking loss against Oleksandr Usyk at Tottenham Hotspur stadium. This defeat cost the boxer his WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles.

After the defeat, AJ was looking forward to his rematch against Usyk which was expected to take place in the first half of the year 2022. But then the fighter was reportedly offered to step down from the rematch fight as the promoters were more interested in making the title unification bout between Fury and Usyk.

It seems like Fury doesn’t let his rivals live in peace and is always looking to gain a mental advantage over them by mocking them. While talking to the Dubai Eye Sport, the WBC heavyweight champion discussed his possibilities of fighting with AJ in the future.

According to Fury he is not clear about AJ anymore and doesn’t know how to consider his existence. Fury added that it’s not just him but currently nobody thinks about AJ anymore. If he ever fights him in the future he will easily knock him out in order to have fun and the fight fans to enjoy.  “I’m not sure what to think about Anthony Joshua anymore. Quite frankly, nobody cares about him anymore. But I’ll knock him out just for bants.” Said, Fury.

Currently, the  Fury vs Usyk fight will have to wait as the ‘Gypsy King’ has been ordered to defend his title against WBA mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte.  But despite that, with comments like this, it seems like  Fury is not ruling out the chance of fighting AJ in the future.
