Vasyl Lomachenko (L) is hit with a strong uppercut from Teofimo Lopez (R)

On October 17, at MGM Grand Conference Center, Teofimo Lopez stunned Vasyl Lomachenko to retain the IBF Lightweight title and win Won WBA (Super), WBO and the Ring Lightweight titles. The American is just 23 years old and is already 16-0 in his professional boxing career, with an impressive 12 knockouts out of the 16. The American will be looking forward to continuing the same in his future fights.

Since, Teofimo is just done with his title bout, he has no plans of fighting any time soon. Speaking to his fans via Instagram live, Teofimo hinted at attending an UFC event, as he has never attended an UFC event before.

“What’s up, Dana White” – Teofimo Lopez on Instagram Live

Answering a plethora of questions, Teofimo was in good spirits, and one fan even asked, “When will we see you again?” Teofimo replied saying, “How about Chito’s fight? UFC? Pop my cherry? I have never been to UFC event ever before. So what’s up, Dana White. Bring me along man.”

Marlon “Chito” Vera famously stopped an undefeated Sean O’Malley at UFC 252 and is on his way to gathering momentum. The Ecuadorian is currently not matched with an opponent and going by Teofimo’s response, it seems that a proper opponent in the Bantamweight division for Vera will definitely see the boxer attending the event, once fans are allowed in the stadium.

Do you think Teofimo’s backing of Marlon Vera, will spring him to new heights?
