“Whip his a** in anything we can score,” Tyron Woodley’s open to fighting in any format, doesn’t think Jake Paul can do well in MMA

Tyron Woodley and Jake Paul

The former UFC Welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley is going to enter the second professional boxing match of his career to face Jake Paul in a rematch. Woodley made an exit from UFC after losing four consecutive fights and made his professional boxing debut against Jake Paul earlier this year.

Along with Woodley, the former Youtuber turned professional boxer, Jake Paul also showed interest in making a transition in combat sports. Paul stated that maybe after two years he is going to fight his first MMA fight and he also wants to make a future in the same.

Maybe Woodley isn’t so good in boxing but he is a former UFC champion in MMA and that ground belongs to him much more than Jake Paul. Commenting on Paul’s wish for transition into MMA, Tyron Woodley says,

“If you want to fight MMA, let’s do that too but I do want to focus on the boxing aspect, it’s fun, it’s exciting. Let me get two, three, four of these boxing matches out of the way and then we can go back to kicking, elbowing, spinning back fists, and choking next, if you want to get it on MMA, wrestling, kickboxing, thumb wrestling, anything I’ll be willing to whip his as* in anything that we can score.”

‘T Wood’ has been in multiple championship fights during his UFC tenure and most of them went out through the end of five rounds. While Jake Paul’s only fight that went to the end of eight rounds happened against Woodley itself. Paul looked completely gassed out towards the end of that fight and Tyron Woodley that same thing is going to give him an upper hand in MMA as well.

Woodley continued, “I’m a hall of Famer in wrestling, so it’s a whole different story and I feel like when you throwing in punches, knees, kicks, elbows, and just being well rounded, jiu-jitsu I’m a black belt and I was known for actually the power of my hands. I believe two additional minutes in the ring, he was having a hard time in eight rounds and I was the one who was breathing easily, so I don’t think he’ll do well in it.”
