Floyd “Money” Mayweather has always impressed the world with his flamboyance in the ring. Very few boxers in the world could emulate his style to perfection. However, his fight against Aaron Chalmers involved bringing his inner Michael Jackson during a round.
Floyd Mayweather showcased his supreme skillset in the ring on multiple occasions, but his performance against Aaron Chalmers was almost demeaning to the former Bellator fighter. Mayweather pranced around the ring and danced briefly with the ring girl before starting the next round. Floyd Mayweather even did a small twirl while the match was going on. This didn’t seem to faze Chalmers, but ultimately, Chalmers lost to the undefeated boxer.
This approach by Floyd Mayweather is something that no one else in the boxing world can do. This does factor into his legacy as one of the greatest boxers ever to enter the ring. To most people, Floyd remains a top-five boxer of all time.
Floyd Mayweather has found a way to mint money even after retirement
Most want to earn money through pensions, investments, or other running assets. Floyd Mayweather doesn’t seem to quit boxing even after turning 40. Mayweather’s level is far greater than other amateur boxers; he can host exhibition matches with such youngsters, even at his age. Floyd not only fights but also makes sure he enjoys the rounds effortlessly.
In 2018, Floyd Mayweather made around 9 million USD in an exhibition boxing match against a professional MMA fighter in Japan. The Japanese, Tenshin Nasukawa, was one of the most popular fighters in the country and fared well against the boxing legend for the most part. But as usual, Mayweather made light work of his opponent sooner or later.
Floyd Mayweather has achieved almost everything in the sport of boxing. This makes it very reasonable for him to do exhibition matches after retirement to increase his bank account for his family as much as he can.
