Gervonta Davis is arguably one of the most famous lightweight boxers in recent times. The boxing prodigy has proved himself time and time again inside the ring. Amassing a record of 28 wins and 0 losses in his professional career, “Tank” is set to become the new face of boxing. However, like his performance in the ring, his life outside of it has also been something to talk about. Davis has had numerous partners and has been involved in several controversies. One of them is Davis, claiming to cheat on his current girlfriend, Vanessa Posso.
Gervonta Davis reportedly had his first daughter from Andretta Smothers in 2018. The couple, however, parted ways after Gervonta Davis was seen choking her during a basketball game. After his split with Andretta, Davis had many partners, but had his second kid with his current partner Vanessa Posso. David started dating Vanessa Posso around January 2021. During their relationship, Davis welcomed his second daughter, Giovanna Thalia.
Vanessa Posso is an Instagram model and influencer with over 726 thousand followers. Apart from that, she also runs her own jewelry brand, RichKidz. While Vanessa and Davis have been really close, they’ve had their share of hurdles in the relationship. One of them is Gervonta allegedly cheating on her with Ashley Burgos.
All of this started when Davis took to Instagram and confessed to having cheated on his girlfriend. “I can’t stop cheating on my girl,” said on the story. All hell broke loose after this, with the feud reaching the extent where Vanessa wanted to fight Ashley Burgos.
Gervonta Davis’ mistress nearly got into a physical altercation with his girlfriend
Former three weight division world champion Gervonta Davis has had many fallouts with his girlfriend in recent times. Gervonta Davis once claimed he cheated on his girlfriend, Vanessa Posso, by posting it on his Instagram story. Vanessa in a response posted a story on her story calling out to the woman Davis allegedly cheated with. “I hate my lurking skills I am finding exactly what I am looking for.” Vanessa had found out that Davis was allegedly cheating with Ashley Burgos.
Ashley Burgos is the daughter of Model Bernice Burgos. She is also a musician and a social media influencer with over 236 thousand followers on Instagram. After Vanessa called out, Ashley quickly responded to Vanessa. Ashley hurled a good chunk of derogatory insults at Vanessa, calling her out to a fight. While Vanessa did not respond, Davis hopped in to clarify he did not post the story and denied he ever cheated. Davis later asked Vanessa to come home under her Instagram post after the whole debacle.
The couple seemingly moved forward with their relationship, but had a major controversy yet again. This time Vanessa had called law enforcement on the 28-year-old boxer. Davis was later arrested on charges of domestic violence. But the toxic couple sorted it out once Vanessa retracted her statement and Tank was released. Vanessa has since then shared they sought the necessary help to continue with their co-parenting dynamic. All of the controversies are behind Davis as he is set to take on Ryan Garcia on 22nd April.
