Mike Tyson gave some helpful and life-changing advice to Francis Ngannou on his podcast, Hot Boxin’ with Mike Tyson. Ngannou is a former UFC heavyweight champion and left the promotion because he was highly unsatisfied with his career. Subsequently, Francis signed with the PFL and began to prepare for his professional boxing career. In addition, since 2021, Ngannou has actively tried to secure a big fight against Tyson Fury or Deontay Wilder.

Though Francis Ngannou was new to the sport of boxing, he wanted to prove himself against the current best heavyweight fighters. Subsequently, Ngannou made his dream come true after two years and had an amazing fight against Fury. Furthermore, before the fight, Ngannou had already secured Tyson as his coach for the bout when they met on Tyon’s podcast. In addition, during the podcast, Tyson told Ngannou:

They don’t want you to believe that you're divinely guided. Cause once you belive that, that’s what’s going to happen.

Tyson shared his wisdom with Ngannou and told him that success bred confidence, and confidence bred success. Furthermore, Ngannou stated that people pointed out your mindset when it stood out. However, Tyson asserted that it was what people wanted to do because success never came to individuals who didn’t believe in themselves.

Tyson was once the heavyweight champion of the world and one of the biggest names in the sport. At his peak, Tyson’s life was very eventful, and he has gone through several ups and downs throughout his life. However, over the years, ‘Iron Man’ has learned his lesson and developed an intelligent outlook on life with age.

Mike Tyson’s reaction to Francis Ngannou losing to Tyson Fury

Tyson couldn’t be prouder of his pupil Ngannou after his performance against Fury on the 28th of October. It was widely thought that Fury’s boxing experience, knowledge, and skills would make Ngannou a weak contender. However, after training Ngannou briefly, Tyson believed that Ngannou had the potential to upset the world by defeating Fury.

In addition, Ngannou proved himself in his professional debut as the undefeated WBC world champion. Ngannou knocked down Fury to the canvas and was a resilient opponent till the last round. However, Fury won the fight in a controversial split decision victory, which is being called a robbery. After the fight, Tyson uploaded a picture with Ngannou with the caption:

Hence, Tyson and several boxing fans believed that Nganou was the actual winner of the bout, and he was robbed. Subsequently, in the post-fight interview, Fury acknowledged Ngannou and stated he was one of his toughest opponents.
