The 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season marked history in making with Tyler Reddick securing three straight wins in the opening events and his 23XI Racing team owner Michael Jordan’s presence in all these events made it pretty special. Since securing evergreen charters after settling the charter lawsuit, it seems he is more involved in the sport than ever.

The whole racing community is impressed with Michael Jordan’s commitment to the sport and the NBA GOAT’s presence bringing more eyes to the sport. RFK Racing owner driver Brad Keselowski has shared his thoughts on the legend’s presence in Cup weekends and highlighted how important it is to have the team owners in the Cup weeks.

I mean, it is hard to argue against Michael having a positive influence on this sport. You know, I love the fact that he’s so engaged at races, and I just can’t emphasize enough how important it is not only for Michael but for any of the key stakeholders to have physical presence at the racetrack. And that’s at all levels, not just the team owner level.

Brad Keselowski said ahead of Phoenix race week.

Further talking about the point, the RFK Racing veteran pointed out that the physical presence of the basketball legend is testament to his fortitude towards the sport. Brad Keselowski also took a small but positive dig at Michael Jordan, highlighting how the ex-Athlete is richer than almost all of the team owners in the sport.

So, for him to have physical presence, I think, is a testament to his fortitude for being part of the sport because, let’s face it, although he won his first three races, he lost a lot more as every car owner will. It’s not a dig on him.

In the same conversation, the 2012 Cup champion highlighted how Michael Jordan has more reasons than any other team owners to miss race weekends, but he still comes in. This instils confidence in the whole crew, inspiring them to work harder.

And if I’m a guy like him personally and wake up and say where do I want to be today and I know that I have less than a 10% chance of winning, flying my butt all across the country when I have all the things Michael has is probably something that takes me a minute to emotionally justify.

Brad Keselowski asserted.

In the same conversation, the No:6 Ford drivers explain the new eye MJ attracts to NASCAR with his apparency on the track as a team owner. Being one of the most respected sport people ever, he attracts attention from around the glob and other than a handful of people, everyone in the community loves having Jordan in the track.

The fringe benefit for the sport is the brand that he has outside of it, which naturally comes with him, which is, I think, a great thing. I’m happy for him, and I’m happy for the sport. And I think it’s hard to see any negatives. I’m sure there’s probably some out there, but I don’t see ’em and, you know, generally happy he’s part of our sport.

Brad Keselowski said.

The veteran’s comments are on point about Michael Jordan bringing in more than just million-dollar investments into the sport. It would be interesting to see how everything is going to playout for MJ and his 23XI Racing team in the coming years as well how that is going to impact the sport.
