“Didn’t sit right with me!” – Bradley Beal shares untold story of failed Bucks move and Khris Middleton’s role
Bradley Beal claims he refused a trade to the Bucks because he wasn’t comfortable with Khris Middleton being used to sweeten the deal.
Bradley Beal could have joined the Bucks but stopped because of Khris Middleton
As the new NBA season approaches, Bradley Beal made a recent appearance on the “Run Your Race” podcast where he discussed various topics, including his departure from the Washington Wizards. Beal revealed that the Milwaukee Bucks were willing to offer Khris Middleton, one of their key championship players, to acquire him.
Fans of the Bucks will have a hard time believing that as Khris Middleton played a vital role in the Bucks’ 2021 championship win. Good thing it didn’t happen as the Bucks eventually instead made a blockbuster trade for Damian Lillard, where they sent Jrue Holiday, who didn’t know about the trade, Grayson Allen, and draft picks to the Portland Trail Blazers.

Bradley Beal spent 11 seasons with the Wizards where he averaged 22.1 points, 4.3 assists, and 4.1 rebounds per game. He was then traded to the Phoenix Suns in 2023, which marked the end of an era for the Wizards.
Currently, he is a key figure in the Suns team that is stacked with talent, including Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. And although his first season in Phoenix had its challenges, he posted solid numbers with 18.2 points per game on a career-best 51.3% shooting.
Bradley Beal makes bold claims on the 2017’s Boston Celtics
Before he joined the Suns, Bradley Beal was the face of the Washington Wizards for over a decade. During his tenure there, he led them to considerable success and established himself as one of the NBA’s top scorers.
Still on the ‘Run Your Race Podcast,’ he reflected on the 2017 playoff run where he and John Wall believed the Wizards could have beaten the Cavaliers if they had advanced past the Boston Celtics. Unfortunately, after that series, the Wizards never reached the same heights with Beal and Wall as their core.

That game was one of the most memorable moments of Beal’s time with the Wizards, as the Celtics barely edged out the Wizards.
Their eventual victors couldn’t make it past the Cleveland Cavaliers and guess fans would never know what might have happened if Beal had conquered the C’s.
