2024 will be a fresh start for quarterback Justin Herbert under head coach Jim Harbaugh. Before the CFP Champion coach arrived in the Los Angeles Chargers, Herbert hadn’t lived up to the hype that he created while coming out of college.

In four seasons, Herbert has a 30-32 record for the Bolts. However, the Chargers placed their faith in the 26-year-old, making him one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL.

Last season was a total disaster for the Chargers in general. Herbert picked up an injury, and the team went through a downhill spiral, winning just 5 games and losing their head coach.

Harbaugh’s appointment created a new sense of hope because he had been a serial winner for most of his coaching career. He appointed Greg Roman as the team’s offensive coordinator and spent the offseason implementing their philosophy.

Justin Herbert sucked every ounce of knowledge from Roman, impressing Harbaugh and his Chargers teammates. Center Bradly Bozeman, who will play his first year in LA, is acquainted with Roman’s tactics from their days with the Baltimore Ravens. Bozeman claimed Herbert mastered Roman’s play callings effortlessly.

He [Justin Herbert] acts like he’s been in the system for 10 years. He dives so deep into the system and knew it so well before anyone else could even grasp it. It’s been impressive to see him put people in the right positions and just elevate people around him.
Bradly Bozeman said per the Los Angeles Chargers’ official website

2024 will be the prove-it year for Herbert. Critics will sound hounding at him if he fails to lead the Chargers to a solid playoff run.

Justin Herbert has all the tools required for a successful Chargers season

Despite losing Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, and Austin Ekeler in the offseason, the Chargers look a very balanced side. They used the offseason smartly, bringing in Joshua Palmer, Ladd McConkey, Will Dissly, Hayden Hurst, J.K. Dobbins, and Gus Edwards.

A lot will be asked of Hortiz told Adams per NFL.com. General Manager Joe Hortiz while speaking with Kay Adams on Up and Adams said, Johnston is one of the players that could have a breakout season. A player to keep an eye on.

Quentin is going to develop and show what he is to the league and everyone out there, but I believe his work ethic and his talent, he’s got a high ceiling.

Joe Hortiz said

Pair Johnston with rookies like Ladd Meccans, who according to Herbert, is the player that has impressed him the most, Brendan Rice, Cornelius Johnson, and DJ Chark, and the Chargers have a great and fresh depth in the offense.
