Golf analyst Brandel Chamblee once again found himself in hot water following another bold statement. In a tweet on X, he expressed that Bryson DeChambeau will be playing for Saudi Arabia at the 2025 Ryder Cup and not Team USA while taking a swipe at his connection with LIV Golf.

DeChambeau, the 2-time major champion, is currently ranked 5th in the U.S. Ryder Cup standings and will automatically qualify for the tournament. He will be the only representative from the LIV Golf league in Team USA this year.

The PGA Tour and LIV Golf will conclude their 2025 season next week. After that, the players will start their preparations for the Ryder Cup, As per reports, several Team USA members are expected to play in the Procore Championship in Napa, California, to get warmed up and be in shape before the Ryder Cup.

DeChambeau, though, will not be able to join his teammates in this preparation. As a member of LIV Golf, the 31-year-old remains banned from the PGA Tour, a development that has sparked some debates across social media.

On Friday, Chamblee welcomed the decision of the PGA Tour to keep DeChambeau out of this event. Chamblee, who has often taken jabs at LIV Golf and Saudi Arabia, once again took a swipe at them.

An X user would later ask Chamblee whether he would support DeChambeau then or not. While the 63-year-old called him one of the best players in the world, he claimed that he would not be representing Team USA in this competition.

He’s one of the best players in the world no doubt, but he will be playing, not for the USA, but for Saudi Arabia in the Ryder Cup. If you disagree, just watch the LIV bots, LIV funders/supporters and those who have been bought by LIV celebrate if he plays well.

Brandel Chamblee on X

DeChambeau was one of the top names from the PGA Tour who left to join LIV Golf on lucrative contracts. Since the players drifted towards LIV Golf, Chamblee has been a huge critic of them and has been vocal about them several times on the internet.

That’s up to the Tour and their decision to make. It’s on them if they don’t let us become together as a team and play… Yeah, it’s a scenario that’s unfortunate, and I wish it was different.
