Golden State Warriors legend Stephen Curry has been one of the most consistent performers for his side ever since he joined them in 2009. He has played with numerous stars over the years, from old to young. Now, Curry, 36, was recently involved in a controversial take let out by his teammate Brandin Podziemski. It referred to him criticizing his head coach, Steve Kerr, and Curry.

However, Podziemski recently made things clear stating that he was misunderstood and did not intend to criticize Curry or Kerr’s comments. In a tweet, Podziemski explained his post-game media response to head coach Steve Kerr’s criticism of the young players’ decision-making, claiming that they aren’t sending the ball to Stephen Curry enough.

To clarify and for further context… Steph is Steph and I’ve been very open with my respect for him on and off the court. He’s a legend and a (GOAT) for a reason. On the court, you have to be cautious against overthinking every possession. You have to trust your work, do what the coaches want you to do, and make a good IQ play. At times that’s a pass, taking shots, or even making a good screen to free up a teammate. So you just play and work to make good decisions consistently. A lot of times that will end up being passing the ball to a wide-open Steph and/or teammate when the opportunity is there and just doing whatever it takes to help the team win.

After being considered an impossible trade commodity during the summer, Podziemski has seen a significant decline in playing time this season. After a season in which he averaged 8.4 points (40.3 FG%), 4.7 rebounds, and 3.4 assists, the All-Rookie First Team honoree is experiencing a serious sophomore downturn. All eyes will be on how he recovers from this slump of form and showcases his talents to Kerr and his coaching staff.

Steve Kerr and Stephen Curry noticed promising signs in recent Warriors win

Stephen Curry led the Golden State Warriors to a significant 113-103 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves, displaying a more unified and competitive effort. This game may have been a ‘game-changer’ for the NBA squad. Both Curry and his Head Coach Steve Kerr noticed ‘promising signs’ after the recent win against the Timberwolves.

We held them to 103 points, 42% shooting, fought like crazy defensively, took care of the ball, got out and ran… that felt like our team again.

Interestingly, the Warriors’ newest addition Dennis Schroder‘s ability to lighten the load on Curry was one of the game’s most important lessons. Curry was able to concentrate on his scoring, especially during crucial situations. Because of his ability to handle the ball and make wise decisions, Schroder’s presence, Kerr admitted, was crucial.
