The San Francisco 49ers’ star wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk was on a roll in 2023, recording 1342 yards from 75 receptions. Those numbers earned Aiyuk a hefty extension (after a long back and forth between the both parties that is). He signed a four-year, $120 million contract, making him one of the highest-paid receivers ever.

He is making good use of the generous money flowing into his bank account. Even though the state of California has some of the highest tax rates, Aiyuk still added a new specimen to his car collection.

On Sunday, a day after Eagles WR AJ Brown’s engagement, Aiyuk shared a video unveiling his new Lamborghini Urus worth over $300k.

Fans on social media showed discontent with Brandon Aiyuk buying a Lamborghini Urus

Aiyuk owns some fast cars but has a long way to go before calling himself a collector. However, he faced backlash from fans on the internet for his latest purchase.

From their point of view, Aiyuk hasn’t earned his keep. He should produce the numbers on the field first and then buy expensive vehicles.

Some even pointed out his encounter with police in February. He made the mistake of driving his brand-new $90k Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk right after the delivery truck handed it over. The police stopped him after just two miles on the meter.

BA shot the video with the help of his newly wedded wife, Rochelle Searight, in front of the 49ers’ Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. Perhaps it was a belated wedding gift for his wife.

Aiyuk played golf with his quarterback, Brock Purdy, running back Christian McCaffrey, and the new highest-paid tight end, George Kittle.

Kittle signed a four-year, $76 million extension ($19.1 million/year), including $40 million guaranteed money. Purdy is still waiting for his. According to recent chatter, the pro bowler will sign a $50 million+ yearly contract.

For Aiyuk, the $30 million per year paycheck did little to stop his horrible 2024 campaign. He began the season in red-hot form. However, midway through it, Aiyuk tore his ACL and MCL. It kept him out for the rest of the year. He must answer his critics to rise the ranks as one of the best receivers in the game.
