The Elite storyline has heated up severely in the past few weeks. With Kazuchika Okada and Jack Perry joining the EVPs and their attack on Tony Khan, this has surely become the biggest storyline in AEW at the moment. Fans will witness the next chapter of the story at AEW Double or Nothing in the form of an Anarchy in the Arena match as FTR will take on the heel faction with the help of Eddie Kingston and Bryan Danielson.
On the most recent episode of Dynamite, Kenny Omega announced FTR would be joining Team AEW in the fight against The Elite. Fans were surprised to see that the first wrestler to come out in support of the tag team was Kingston. Furthermore, AEW fans were shocked to see that the last member of Team AEW was none other than Bryan Danielson.
The American Dragon had not been seen on AEW programming since the Dynasty PPV in his match against Will Ospreay. The commentators even mentioned that they were unsure whether Danielson was medically cleared to compete in the ring. Regardless, the return of the former WWE Champion has further spiced up this dramatic storyline.
The Submission Specialist, alongside The Young Bucks, was also a part of the previous Anarchy in the Arena match. Last year, the Blackpool Combat Club took on a different version of The Elite with the same stipulation. At Double or Nothing 2024, he will be joined by the Top Guys. FTR will also be looking to get their revenge against The Young Bucks after being screwed out of the Tag Team Championship thanks to a returning Jack Perry.
Will Ospreay reveals what he told Bryan Danielson ahead of their match at AEW Dynasty
For the first time ever, Will Ospreay took on Bryan Danielson at the AEW Dynasty PPV. On a recent episode of the Swerve City podcast, the Aerial Assassin mentioned that he had been feeling sick. He predicted that it could be due to anxiety or because of repeated travel.
When he got in the ring with the former WWE Superstar, Ospreay kept telling himself that he would stay in control. Prior to the bell ringing, he whispered to his opponent that it was going to be a pleasure. Further, he stepped back when the bell rang, and his anxiety and sickness had gone away. This time, the British wrestler felt like he belonged there.
The moment the bell rang, like even just beforehand when I was looking at him, I just mouthed to him and went, ‘This is gonna be a pleasure’ and then I stepped back and the moment that bell rang, there was nothing.

Ospreay further added that while wrestling Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho, he felt like he was wrestling with people out of his league. However, for the first time ever, he felt that he belonged there. At last, he admitted that he faced the person who he considered the greatest to ever do it.
