Brianna Turner raves about Indiana Fever for media day positivity with Caitlin Clark
The Indiana Fever's adroit media day proceedings centering Caitlin Clark left new joinee Brianna Turner in awe of the organization.

Indiana Pacers' Brianna Turner and Caitlin Clark
The Indiana Fever franchise was one of the WNBA’s weakest links over the past 10 years or so. The team had not made it to the postseason since 2016, before the advent of Caitlin Clark. They sealed their first season at .500 or above in this duration during Clark’s rookie season. Now, the team has set its sights on the biggest prize in women’s basketball – dislodging reigning champions New York Liberty from their perch.
The Indiana Fever front office set about this task in real earnest during the WNBA offseason. They didn’t take long to get rid of coach Christie Sides, who many believe held Caitlin Clark’s impact back. Sides was replaced by former Connecticut Sun head coach Stephanie White, who had also played for and coached Indiana earlier. White was responsible for the coaching strategy that enabled Connecticut to stifle Clark in 2024.
Beyond coaching changes, the Fever also set about improving their roster. With the Golden State Valkyries’ WNBA debut coming up, they were able to keep their core of Aliyah Boston, Kelsey Mitchell and Lexie Hull together. The likes of Erica Wheeler, Katie Lou Samuelson and NaLyssa Smith were sent their way. The front office replaced these players with some high-profile names.
DeWanna Bonner, Sophie Cunningham, Natasha Howard, Sydney Colson and Brianna Turner have been brought in. All five of these players have playoff experience and are seasoned professionals at their specific roles. Bonner projects as the leader of this young pack. She will be aided in her frontcourt responsibilities by Turner.
Breanna Turner was steadfast in her appreciation for her new team following their media day obligations. The six-year WNBA veteran posted a tweet that highlighted just how pleased she is with the Indiana Fever.
I mean this with the upmost respect to other teams/ leagues, but there are probably very few pro organizations that handle media day like the Indy Fever. Professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail are top tier. Big shoutout to all involved in the planning & production.

Turner’s shoutout comes as no surprise to those plugged into the WNBA. The organization has made sea changes to how they are handling their visibility to the fresh fans of the league. They have revamped their social media strategy and have embraced being darlings of women’s basketball fans to the fullest. All the fun activities that the team did on Media Day serve as proof of their dedication to making it big.
Caitlin Clark believes nothing less than a championship will be ‘success’ for the Indiana Fever
While many fans won’t rate the Indiana Fever’s roster as championship contenders, their franchise player feels differently. Having already made the All-WNBA First Team as a rookie, Caitlin Clark has set her sights on team laurels now. For the former Iowa Hawkeyes heartthrob, winning a championship is what befits the team. And she wasn’t afraid to say so when asked during media day.
“What does success look like?”

Clark has every reason to feel buoyed about the team’s championship odds. The Indiana Fever roster will have four 2024 WNBA All-Stars in their starting lineup after acquiring DeWanna Bonner. Beyond that, they will also have some championship experience coming in from the bench in Sydney Colson.
The key to winning a WNBA championship would lie in beating their Eastern Conference competition. As rosters currently stand, the Indiana Fever should be favored over every team in the East save for the Liberty.
