Heading into the potential fifteenth season without a playoff appearance, the New York Jets have been a graveyard of dreams for one too many NFL players. At this point, the Jets fans are immune to yet another player hyping up before the season starts.
Breece Hall, drafted by the New York Jets three seasons ago, is entering his fourth year, and the noise around his contract has turned up recently. In three seasons, Hall has started 34 games and posted 2333 rushing yards from 512 attempts. He also managed to record 1292 receiving yards from 152 receptions. In 2023, he even led the league in the longest rushing attempt.
Nevertheless, he isn’t expecting an extension anytime soon. In a recent talk with the reporters, Hall admitted the fact before delving into his explanation. He claimed that the new management hadn’t had a say in drafting him, meaning that he has to prove to them that he’s their guy:
I’m not really expecting it before the season. We got a new head coach (Aaron Glenn), new GM (Darren Mougey). Obviously, I wasn’t drafted by them, I’m not their guy. So for me, like I said, I’ve got to prove it every day. For me, I’ve got a chip on my shoulder. I feel like right now, OK, it’s my last chance.
He added that he has long been called someone with potential. Hall confessed that he wants to move on from that category to being a product, a player whom the team can depend upon. Furthermore, he also mentioned his disinterest in discussing the other stuff:
For me, it’s always been, ‘he’s got potential, he’s got potential,’ but now I want to be the product. It’s all about putting my head down and working. I don’t really want to discuss all the other stuff. For me, I just try to worry about ball right now.

As said above, the Jets’ fans are immune, but they haven’t missed the different perspectives of Hall’s statements. Is he alluding to a potential exit after the season is a question many have thought and asked on social media.
Breece Hall heaps praise on Aaron Glenn and the new management
Breece Hall, in his press availability with the reporters, also showered heaps of praise on the new management. Hall admitted that the situation last year was chaotic and fueled by instability and confused decisions.

Aaron Glenn, who previously geared up for the Jets for fifteen seasons, took up charge after a messy year. Hall claimed that Glenn’s culture has elevated his coaching experience.
I like the way practice, just the whole operation throughout the day, is run. Coach (Aaron) Glenn has done a great job of not only being a player’s coach but making sure we get the right amount of work in too, so it’s been cool to see how he goes about his business and the standard he sets for everybody. For me, it makes me want to come in everyday and do my 1/11 every time I’m out on the field.
Hall said that he liked the way the coach communicated. According to him, it wasn’t passive, and he listened to the players’ concerns and worries. He didn’t sugarcoat anything, which Hall appreciated, especially because the coach had played before and understood what they were going through. Hall added that it was cool to see how the coach handled his business, how he treated everyone, and how he acknowledged everything around him.
