Bret Hart breaks silence on appearing on WWE Raw in Calgary; says meeting Triple H is always a “pleasure”

This week’s Raw featured the return of Bret Hart to WWE TV after almost a decade. He was part of a segment with Gunther and Sami Zayn. Later on, after his promo, he shared a wholesome moment with Triple H backstage. Following the show, The Hitman had a choice of words about his experience on Raw in Calgary.
WWE released footage of the Hall of Famer on Raw in which he opened up about his time backstage. He said it was an amazing experience to be back on the show. The 67-year-old added that being with Triple H backstage was amusing, and he enjoyed his time as many wrestlers of his time are not around anymore.

Moreover, the former WWE Champion stated that he was nervous at first. However, the love and support of the fans motivated him to become The Hitman once again. The Canadian legend was involved in a heated back and forth exchange of words with Gunther. Later on, he was saved by Zayn, who stood up for the legend’s disrespect and defended him valiantly.
Furthermore, Bret Hart revealed that he found it special to be back in Calgary for Raw. He said that walking to the ring slowly and gradually was quite different from what he expected from his appearance. The Hitman opened up about the possibility of once again coming back to WWE for another appearance down the line.
Gunther taunts Bret Hart following the heated argument on Raw
Gunther and Bret Hart went toe to toe this week. The Ring General was a man on a mission to tear down the reputation of the Hitman. Although he was interrupted by Sami Zayn, his antics did not stop even after Raw went off air.
Following the show, the World Heavyweight Champion posted a clip from their segment on Raw. He claimed himself to be the true torchbearer of the legacy of the Hall of Famer. However, he is also the one who has exceeded him and become better than everybody else in the business.
The Austrian star was mocking the 67-year-old with this statement. As such, the next potential challenger for Gunther’s world title, Sami Zayn, has promised to continue the legacy of Hart. Therefore, it is going to be interesting to see how things will go for the two stars from here on.
