Mitt Romney is not one of Brett Favre’s favorites. Some eagle-eyed netizens pointed out that the reason could be Romney’s recent tweet involving the Paris Olympics inauguration ceremony that attracted much negativity after drag queens’ portrayal of the Last Supper.

Romney attended the opening ceremony as well as Peyton Manning on Friday and took a picture in front of the iconic Eiffel Tower. He shared it on X (formerly Twitter) with a message praising the Olympic committee for a great ensemble.

The @Paris2024 Opening Ceremony showcased the world’s most beautiful city. Imaginative, inventive and memorable. The performance by Celine Dion touched hearts. She epitomized the Olympic spirit with her determination, courage and incomparable talent.

The post instantly went viral, and those who perceived the drag queen’s recreation of the Last Supper as blasphemous to Christianity, made their voices heard. They condemned the Utah Senator for overlooking the act, calling him an utter disgrace, and Brett Favre 100% agreed with them.

This came as a surprise to many because Romney famously saved the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City by applying his political connections and management skills. And even though the 77-year-old belongs to the Republican Party, which values conservative Christian beliefs, his silence confused and surprised them deeply.

Was Favre the only football player who condemned the Paris Olympics opening ceremony?

Favre may have indirectly criticized a senator for not speaking up, but a fellow football player went all out following the opening ceremony in Paris. Three time Super Bowl winner Harrison Butker, a devout Christian, shared a verse from the Bible to diss the drag queen’s performance.

Be not deceived, God is not mocked. For what things a man shall sow, those also shall he reap. For he that soweth in his flesh, of the flesh also shall reap corruption. But he that soweth in the spirit, of the spirit shall reap life everlasting.

Brett Favre in the past has made it clear who he believes should be the leader of the free world in the future. As the presidential elections come ever closer, one can easily guess the name—Donald Trump.

My Vote is for what makes this country great, freedom of speech & religion, 2nd Amnd, hard working tax paying citizens, police & military. In this election, we have freedom of choice, which all should respect. For me & these principles, my Vote is for @DonaldTrump.

Both individuals possess a love for golf and have occasionally linked up for a swing or two. However, Favre needs to be on his toes because he may end up on the wrong side of the $70 million welfare scandal.
