“”We don’t need to file a lawsuit….”- Brian Flores addresses the world regarding his lawsuit against the NFL

The NFL community was shaken yesterday when the former Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores had filed a lawsuit against the NFL for reasons relating to racism in the procedure of hiring the new coaches for the franchises as he was rejected by the New York Giants despite having a solid resume with him.

Brian Flores had shared his convo with the New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick where the Patriots coach texted the wrong Brian to congratulate him for getting the Giants’ head coaching job.

Flores initially was confused by the text messages from Belichick, he asked Belichick, “Coach, are you talking to Brian Flores or Brian Daboll. Just making sure.” Belichick replied, “Sorry – I fu**ed this up. I double-checked & I misread the text. I think they are naming Daboll. I’m sorry about that. BB”

Brian Flores appeared on the CBS Morning Show and talked about his lawsuit against the NFL and said, “We didn’t have to file a lawsuit for the world to know that there’s a problem from a hiring standpoint in regards to minority coaches in the National Football League. The numbers speak for themselves.”

He added, “We filed the lawsuit, So we can create some change and that is important for me.”

Brian further said, “Humiliation, disbelief, anger. I’ve worked so hard to get to where I am and be a football coach to be 18 years in this league.”

He added, “I don’t want my kids to go through some of the things I’ve had to go through. And I know that was the same for people who came before me as well.”

It will be interesting to see how the NFL will handle these statements from Flores who has been a part of this league for such a long time and all of this coming up just 2 weeks before the Super Bowl might lead to a quick and strict action by the NFL to make sure that things like this which involve racism must not go on in the future.

The future of Brian Flores now remains in a doubt as many teams who needed a coach for their team might try to stay away from him to avoid getting into any kinds of controversy and look for other alternatives to lead their franchise.
