Tennessee track Bristol Motor Speedway is one of the fan favorite tracks in the US that is infamous for their promotional tactics and experimental moves. The Speedway Motorsports owned track is set to host another historical moment, as they will be hosting a Major League Baseball neutral ground game in the 2025 season.

Atlanta Braves will bring the fight to the Cincinnati Reds in a regular season game at the track. This would mark the first ever MLB game hosted by a NASCAR track as well as the first ever Baseball game hosted by BMS. The baseball fans as well as the NASCAR fans would be hoping see an impressive event at the infield area of the track.

This new experiment comes just one year after the track decided to pull the curtain on the controversial dirt race at Bristol. The concrete track was covered with dirt from 2021 to 2023, and was used to host the only dirt event in the series. Though it had some good moments, fa predominately hated it and it was stopped for the good this season.

Bristol Motor Speedway has previously been host of other sporting events

The MLB game isn’t the first rodeo in terms of non-NASCAR events for BMS. They have previously hosted football events successfully in the past as well. This includes games featuring NFL teams to college football games.

In 1961, the Washington Redskins, now the Commanders, squared up against the Philadelphia Eagles in a NFL pre-season week-5 game. The match ended in favor of the team from Washington with a 17-10 score-line.

The most recent no-NASCAR sport event hosted by the track was in 2016 and it was an historic moment. In Battle at Bristol between the Virginia Tech Hokies and the Tennesse Volunteers came up against each other. The game had an attendance of 156,990 and it has the record for the greatest number of fans attended the event
