Top AEW star SUSPENDED after heated backstage argument with MJF: Reports
MJF allegedly ran into a heated argument with former AEW Women's Champion just about two weeks ago. There's unrest all around.

It seems like nothing’s well within the AEW locker room at the moment. This time around, the reported skirmish involves MJF, his girlfriend, Alicia Atout, and Britt Baker. As first noted by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Baker has been handed a suspension of a week or two. In addition to that, a fine is also levied upon her by the company’s disciplinary committee.
It all stemmed from a backstage altercation on the July 17 edition of AEW Dynamite. As per what’s been learned, Britt Baker was allegedly exercising frustrations about MJF in the women’s locker room. His girlfriend, Atout, heard that and informed the American Champion about it. Max then confronted Baker. Eventually, it resulted in an HR investigation, following which Britt was suspended.

The aforementioned details have also been confirmed by Fightful Select. The outlet also added that Baker had a conversation with Will Ospreay about what transpired. Apparently, MJF and Baker, former good friends, had a falling out last year. One could deduce that the malignity had been brewing for months. People close to the situation even claim that Maxwell Jacob Friedman punched a wall in agony before going out to wrestle Ospreay that night.
As of now, Britt Baker’s match with Mercedes Mone for the AEW TBS title is still on at All In pay-per-view. Meanwhile, MJF will put his AEW American Championship on the line against Will Ospreay in the latter’s own backyard of London. But before that, one would like to know Tony Khan‘s involvement in the latest hubbub that has marred All Elite Wrestling. As of now, there’s no confirmation on that. However, there are people backstage who’re sympathetic to Britt in the entire situation.
MJF recently mocked Will Ospreay over England’s Euro Cup loss
MJF’s no stranger to firing jabs. Recently, on the same episode of Dynamite as mentioned above, he toppled Will Ospreay in a 60-minute thriller. Even before that, he took a shot at Will’s nationality as an Englishman.

As the fans know, England went down narrowly in a closely contested 1-2 defeat against Spain in the Euro Cup finals 2024. While the match was ongoing, Friedman took to X and wrote that the British once again proved that they couldn’t withstand pressure.
Then, be it a Euro Cup finale or his opponent for the then-upcoming Ospreay clash. MJF also claimed that Englishmen aren’t equipped to be athletes. The Salt of the Earth went on to successfully retain his American title against The Aerial Assassin.
