Utah Jazz’s Donovan Mitchell and Boston Celtics’ Jayson Tatum get into a humorous exchange on Twitter. The 22-year-old Tatum was picked by the Celtics in 2017 as the No.3 overall pick. Even Donovan Mitchell was picked up in the same NBA Draft. Tatum had a very successful 2019-20 season, averaging more than 22 points, 3 assists and 7 rebounds per game. Celtics came till the Eastern Conference Finals where Jimmy Butler led Miami Heat outplayed them. 

As a result, to his amazing performance, Tatum was offered a mega-contract by the franchise that lures him in the franchise for another 5 years. However, Tatum’s Head Coach, Brad Stevens announced that the formers height increased from 6’8 to 6’10. Which the Utah Jazz marquee player Donovan Mitchell found very funny.

Finally, Mitchell concluded the conversation by posting, “I’m crying rn!!!”. What started off as shots at Tatum, his responses ultimately gave him the upper hand in this exchange of wits. 

Talking about Donovan Mitchell, he too has signed an extension with Utah Jazz. He has also started performing for them in the 2020-21 pre-season and has been pretty impressive against the Phoenix Suns. The value these two hold in their franchises at such a young age. They still have many years of their prime left with them. It’s only a matter of time when we get to see which team ends up benefitting from them the most.
