CBS Sports allegedly cut Brock Bowers’ Donald Trump-inspired celebration on Sunday night. The Las Vegas Raiders rookie tight end became the latest football player to give a shoutout to the 47th President of the United States of America.
With 1:21 left in the third quarter, Raiders quarterback Gardner Minshew hit Brock Bowers for a 23-yard touchdown pass. The touchdown cut down the Miami Dolphins lead to 17-12, giving the Raiders a good chance of making a swift comeback in the final quarter.
After Bowers scored his third touchdown of the season, he celebrated the occasion by imitating a dance sequence made famous by Donald Trump himself. His moves went viral instantly on the internet.

However, several social media accounts pointed out that CBS Sports, the network that broadcasted the Raiders-Dolphins game, cut the Bowers’ dance.

It was shown live on TV, and then on all their social media platforms, they cut it out, skipping the whole dance.
This is wild…

Bowers wasn’t the only one who gave Trump a shoutout on the night. Right after Detroit Lions debutant defensive end Za’Darius Smith recorded his first-ever sack in the blue jersey, he broke into Trump’s dance, but it was also edited out.

Previously, San Francisco 49ers All-Pro pass rusher Nick Bosa had to pay a fine for wearing a MAGA hat during game day. Even after that punishment, he still chose to do the Trump dance. When reporters asked Bosa about the fine, he claimed it was worth it because Trump defeated Kamala Harris to become the new president.

The Raiders lost against the Dolphins 34-19, but Bowers had a career game, receiving 13 passes for 126 yards and one score. Reporters flocked outside of the Raiders locker room to speak with him, but he wasn’t made available to speak with them.
USA Today later caught up with the former Georgia man and asked him about the Trump celebration.

The loss left the Raiders with the worst record in the NFL (2-8) and at the bottom of the AFC West. Despite a disappointing campaign, Bowers has been their shining light in the offense. So far, he has 70 receptions for 706 yards and three touchdowns.
Although the season is more or less over for the Vegas team, Bowers has the chance to cross the 1,000 receiving yards mark and perhaps even consider himself a contender for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
