Bron Breakker gets his first title opportunity on the main roster at Money in the Bank after a destructive run

After weeks of causing chaos and destroying multiple superstars, it looks like Bron Breakker finally got what he needed on Raw. He managed to earn his first title shot just months after his main roster debut. Although he had to annihilate his opponents, he doesn’t mind because he will now be fighting Sami Zayn for the I.C. title at Money in the Bank.

Bron Breakker expressed his frustration with Raw general manage, Adam Pearce backstage. However, the champion, Sami Zayn, appeared and granted him the title shot, saying all Breakker had to do was name the time and place. The 26-year-old star did just that, and the match was made official by Pearce for July 6 at Money in the Bank. There is no doubt that the crowd will support his hometown hero, but they will also be excited to see what the former NXT Champion can do in big matches.

On this week’s episode of Raw, Breakker faced Ludwig Kaiser in a singles match. Surprisingly, the Imperium member managed to land a lot of offense in the match. However, as Kaiser ran around the ringside area to deliver his most dangerous attack, Sheamus came out of nowhere and attacked him, ending the match in disqualification. Moreover, this was Breakker’s second match in a row that ended in a similar fashion.

Meanwhile, Sami Zayn has been a fighting champion after winning the I.C. title from Gunther at WrestleMania XL. He hasn’t backed down from a fight and retained his title against Bronson Reed and Chad Gable at the King and Queen of the Ring PLE. The former Honorary Uce beat Gable at Clash at the Castle in Scotland again. Only time will tell whether he manages to overcome perhaps his toughest challenge yet in Bron.

After kicking Giovanni Vinci out of Imperium, Ludwig Kaiser has gotten a lot of TV time as a singles competitor. He has turned a lot of heads with his heelish persona, delivering great promos and matches week after week. However, he might have suffered an injury during the match with Bron Breakker.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that the 33-year-old star was favoring one of his arms following a suplex from Breakker. After the segment ended, he was checked by the medical staff backstage. The match was pretty hard-hitting and intense, as at one point the former NXT Champion even executed a perfect Frankensteiner.

Kaiser could potentially involve himself again to cost Sheamus his match. The Celtic Warrior will battle Drew McIntyre and Ilja Dragunov in a MITB qualifying match next week on Raw. It will be intriguing to see where this rivalry between the two superstars goes.
