It’s mid-February, and John Cena‘s WWE farewell tour has already sunk many hearts. The Cenation Leader has almost skimmed through the first couple of months of 2025 with merely two appearances, leaving fans in dismay. And it seems like a certain Steiner, who previously had eyes on the actor, is no longer interested in crossing paths with him.
He’s none other than Bron Breakker. The reigning Intercontinental Champion spoke to MuscleManMalcolm, where he pulled back on something he said during last year’s SummerSlam week. Bron challenged Cena to take the IC title off him. The Unpredictable Badass asked the Peacemaker star to grow some balls and chase the working man’s title, as he’d never won it.
But almost six months forward, Breakker isn’t keen on wrestling John. The Steiner descendant claimed that it’d be wise for a 47-year-old Cena to stay away from him if he wants to make it through his retirement tour. In all fairness, it doesn’t seem likely that Cena would be chasing a midcard title during the twilight of his legendary WWE career.
If he wants to make it to the end of that year or make it to the end of this run, he probably should just stay away from me.

The Champ still has a 17th world title reign on his mind. Having finished as the runner-up in this year’s Royal Rumble match, the Massachusetts-born grappler has one more opportunity to get closer to history. On March 1, inside the Elimination Chamber, Mr. Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect will be locked inside that unforgiving structure.
He’ll have to scrape through the likes of CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, Logan Paul, and more. Due to his filming commitments in Hungary, Cena wouldn’t be appearing on WWE television until the PLE in Toronto. The fans are quite underwhelmed by John’s Hollywood schedule, which has cast a doubt over his chances at the Elimination Chamber.
What is John Cena’s rumored WrestleMania 41 direction?
If John Cena pulls a rabbit out of his hat inside the Elimination Chamber, he’d head to WrestleMania 41 to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE title. But there’s been an ongoing creative tussle within WWE about that match.

Per WrestleVotes, a handful of people in the company would prefer CM Punk’s addition to the fray, resulting in a triple threat match. However, the outlet has added not everyone is on board with that idea, and they’re likely the people in-charge of things.
Hence, the rumored Rhodes vs. Cena vs. Punk bout is rather a fantasy booking at this point and would probably not happen. That said, the upcoming weeks will determine if Cena will square off against Cody for the ultimate prize in Las Vegas.
