It sure does seem like Bron Breakker will be back in time to compete at WrestleMania 42. ‘The Unpredictable Badass’ is reportedly set to visit the WWE Performance Center in Orlando this week as part of the process for him to receive the medical nod from the doctors to return to in-ring competition, as per PWInsider.
This comes shortly after the rumblings that there was optimism by a source in WWE about Breakker returning before WrestleMania. The second-generation Steiner was taken off the road last month after he popped a hiatal hernia, for which he underwent surgery within days of it happening.
Before that, the fans witnessed him getting ambushed by a masked hooded man while he was entering to start the Royal Rumble match with Oba Femi.

It was later revealed that Breakker’s creative direction at the Rumble wasn’t dictated by an injury, and him getting stomped out by the mystery assailant, whose mastermind was Seth Rollins, was the planned spot.
Had it not been for that hernia that he popped while flipping over the commentary desk on Raw after the Royal Rumble, he would’ve gotten into the crosshairs of Rollins straight away from the point the latter made his return from that shoulder injury at the Elimination Chamber.
Who knows if Bron Breakker was originally slotted to compete in the chamber match and Rollins would’ve gone on to cost him just like he did to Logan Paul? It could’ve been the impetus for Breakker taking on Rollins at this year’s WrestleMania. It still looks to be the case with Seth Rollins declaring to disintegrate the faction that he built from scratch.
Logan Paul and Austin Theory are gunning for The Usos as they’re set for a tag team title match on this week’s Raw. Also, Paul Heyman had brought Brock Lesnar to handle Rollins this past Monday on Raw. It appeared as if WWE had pivoted to Lesnar vs. Rollins at WrestleMania with Bron Breakker potentially out for long.
However, the destruction caused by Oba Femi moments later led to Lesnar vs. Femi getting official for the Grandest Stage of Them All. Rollins is now awaiting Breakker’s arrival, which, if everything goes right, could happen as early as the upcoming Raw episode slated for Madison Square Garden later this month.
The company has always treated its MSG shows meticulously. Keeping that in mind, it’d be a safe bet to make that Breakker could be unleashed at The Garden if he’s available to use by then. Some fans believe that he should be disguised as one of Rollins’ masked men and ultimately take the master out before taking the mask off and revealing who he is.
Bron Breakker is on track to beat the usual recovery timeline for hiatal hernia
Bron Breakker couldn’t have gotten injured at a worse time than he did last month. It was the beginning of the road to WrestleMania, and absolutely no wrestler wants to be on the shelf during that period. The former NXT Champion might consider himself fortunate in a way that the worst that could happen to him was popping a hernia, which doesn’t take half a year or more to recover from.

It generally takes anywhere between 6 and 12 weeks to resume high-intensity training after undergoing laparoscopic hiatal hernia surgery. Breakker has already been out for almost 50 days at this point, which equates to 7 weeks. There was never a doubt about his ability to beat the clock in terms of reducing that recovery time period that not many can boast of.
He has that Steiner blood running through his veins, which makes him a freak, which his uncle, Scott Steiner, often refers to his nephew as. There are still almost four weeks to go until WrestleMania, and one should fully expect Bron Breakker to be at his physical best by then.
A little while ago, Paul Heyman talked about this injury teaching his protégé a lesson. ‘The Wiseman’ wanted it to turn Breakker into a mental beast, in addition to the physical specimen that he already is.
