Bo Nix just pulled off a remarkable feat that no Denver Broncos quarterback has been able to achieve since Hall of Famer Peyton Manning. Following a regulation-time win over divisional rivals, the Las Vegas Raiders, Nix and the Broncos have surpassed last season’s total of ten victories and now lead the AFC with an impressive 11-2 record.
The Broncos began as the overwhelming favorites in Week 14 and rushed into a seventeen-point lead with just over three minutes left until the final whistle. Nix rushed for one and set up rookie rusher RJ Harvey for another. In between, Marvin Mims Jr. added a punt return touchdown to make the score 14-7.
As for the Raiders, they suffered a big blow midway through the game. Quarterback Geno Smith came off after hurting his right shoulder. Kenny Pickett replaced the veteran signal caller and cut the lead to just 10 points with a TD pass to Shedrick Jackson.
The Broncos’ defense shut the door as the clock ticked. Nik Bonitto, Malcolm Roach, and John Franklin-Myers combined for four total sacks, while Talanoa Hufanga racked up 5 total tackles.
As the referee blew the final whistle inside Allegiant Stadium, the Broncos recorded their 10th straight win of the 2025 NFL season. They are just one win away from tying Manning’s final season win record of 12-4. Every Broncos fan knows what happened that campaign. They went on to become Super Bowl champions.

Bo Nix remains humble after a monumental win in the quest to secure the No. 1 seed for the Broncos
Nix didn’t throw a touchdown pass, but at the same time, he did not turn the ball over once. Completing 81% of pass attempts is no mere fleeting task. Nix played efficient football, even after taking heavy criticism from fans and media who blamed him alone for the Broncos’ lackluster offence.

Speaking with reporters after the game, Nix acknowledged that he could have played better.
We did a good job. We did a good job of controlling the football. I think at the same time with long drives, you sort of see that they’re run a whole lot of explosive plays, so that number we would like to see go up. But at the same time, we gave our defense a good day.

Nix wasn’t the only player who looked sharp in the offense. First-year rusher Harvey had 17 carries for 75 yards and 1 score.
[Harvey] always does a good job out of the backfield. I’ll always say that’s one of his greatest traits. He’s really starting to get it. He just understands things.

Harvey now has 91 total carries for 354 yards and 5 rushing scores in his debut NFL season. Nix, meanwhile, is tenth in the league with 2954 passing yards from 297 pass completions. He has 23 total touchdowns and 9 interceptions after 13 games.
Next week, the Broncos take on the Green Bay Packers. The Packers are currently the second seed in the NFC following an impressive win against their rivals, the Chicago Bears.
