Bronny James advised to ‘look more gangster’ like rapper Drake
Rapper Mase advised LeBron James' son Bronny James to learn from fellow rapper Drake to channel attitude when playing for Los Angeles Lakers.

Ever since Bronny James came into the NBA, most of the talk has been surrounding nepotism and his father LeBron James. But many have tried to downplay that as nepotism is rampant everywhere. On the other hand, Rappers Mase and Cam’ron took the discussion to a different route, bringing in a Drake reference when talking about James Jr.’s struggles in the Los Angeles Lakers preseason games.
When they were discussing this topic on the podcast, It is What it is, Mase brought up an interesting analogy. He explained how the younger James could gain confidence by suggesting:
Mase recommending Bronny James to look like rapper Drake was an ode to how the musician behaves. That is, he is from a completely different culture, but he looks and acts like he is from the hood.
By that, they mean for James Jr. to bring that killer mindset in, he has to channel that ‘gangster’ part in him. Wearing cornrows and wearing a sleeve might help him start to get into the ‘gangster’ mode, something akin to what NBA star Ja Morant exhibits.

Cam’ron chimed in suggesting the way Drake handles himself as he makes it look as if he is a gangster rapper. But he is from a completely different cultural background. With Bronny James coming up in luxury, Mase and Cam’ron want him to channel a low life attitude.
Bronny James had his best preseason game so far
The Los Angeles Lakers tried to fast track Bronny James’ development by playing him in almost all of the Summer League games. Then after their practices earlier this month, they ensured he played decent minutes as part of the Lakers rotation. But so far, he had underwhelmed on display, never scoring past two points.
But in their last game against the Phoenix Suns, the young star played the most minutes so far. With his father LeBron James on the bench, the spotlight was his to take. His fellow rookie Dalton Knecht was the star of the day with his best performance so far. But Bronny James also had his best game yet when he tallied four points and two rebounds.
He showed a bit more confidence when he drove to the rim, only to be stopped by his father’s Olympic teammate Kevin Durant. Had he scored that, he would have ended up with more points than some Lakers bench stars. Nevertheless, it should give him the impetus to be better in the final preseason game.
