Bronny James gets real on Luka Doncic’s influence in Lakers locker room: “Best thing I’ve seen so far”

Bronny James and Luka Doncic

Despite all of the criticism he has received since registering for the 2024 NBA Draft, guard Bronny James of the Los Angeles Lakers has recently appeared to be an NBA player of rotation caliber. Notably, James Jr was in awe to watch newest teammate Luka Doncic join his Lakers side. Not only that, he witnessed an all-timer performance on Saturday by Doncic at the Ball Arena.

James Jr recently played in another G League game. In a victory over the Valley Suns, he cut and diced his way to 24 points, six assists, five rebounds, two steals, and one block. This was while his father played against the Denver Nuggets. He shot 10–16 from the field and 4-6 from beyond the arc, demonstrating his efficiency. However, James Jr opened up after his G-league game on Doncic in a recent interview.

Just his patience. Just being able to be unpredictable. You never know what he’s going to do. That’s the best thing I’ve seen so far from. I just keep trying to pick up stuff from him.

Bronny James told the reporters

It is quite safe to say that there aren’t many better players to learn from when it comes to shooting and creating plays. His father is among the few. But given that Doncic’s athleticism is somewhat mediocre, there are some elements of his strategy that James would find easier to duplicate. His recent performance against the Nuggets is a clear example for Bronny James.

In light of this, the younger James’s best work is most likely still to come. However, his ceiling might become a little more spacious if he has another brain to choose from—another superstar he can regularly observe up close.

Luka Doncic makes honest admission after recent win over Nuggets

Lakers fans and players must be happy if Saturday was an indication of things to come. The 25-year-old has been absent from several games while he heals from a calf injury. Better yet, Luka Doncic made several passes to forward LeBron James throughout the game. After the game, Doncic made a bold admission as he settles into life at the Los Angeles Lakers.

Just finally feeling like myself a little bit. You know, playing this game, this is all I love, so I’m just finally being myself a little bit. That’s why I was smiling the whole game.

Luka Doncic said

After the chaos of the past month, it’s nice to see Doncic laughing and having some fun on the court. As time progresses, Doncic will be at his usual self even more, something that the Lakers fans now expect to happen. Given that, Doncic and Co. will now focus on finishing in a better position in the West as they currently sit in 4th place going into the next game.
