Skip Bayless criticises Bronny James for biggest flaw
Bronny James finally got the opportunity to prove his mettle in the big leagues, and he made sure to leave an impression. The Los Angeles Lakers rookie showed out in the team’s final preseason game, eliciting praise from fans and pundits all over the internet. However, while everyone was singing Bronny’s praises, he found his big critique in none other than Skip Bayless.
The 72-year-old TV pundit and legendary columnist has built quite a reputation for himself by being one of LeBron James’ harshest critics. Even though Bayless may have lost his fastball with the criticism of James Sr., he pointed out a major flaw in Bronny James’ game even after his 17-point scoring outburst.

Bayless remarked that even after seeing offensive flashes from Bronny James, the rookie has a glaring flaw in his eyes—his hustle on the court. Bayless didn’t seem to appreciate the energy and heart that he saw Bronny James present in his first start as a Laker. This criticism of James is surprising, given that the defensive hustle and grit that the rookie showed at USC was one of his biggest strengths coming into the major league.
Regardless of Bayless’ criticism, Bronny still put on a noteworthy performance, finishing with 17 points on 7-17 shooting. He paired these numbers with four boards, three steals, an assist and a block. Quite the performance for the rookie’s first start.
Despite criticism, Bronny James finds support in Skip Bayless
Skip Bayless has been infamous for his heavy-handed criticism of LeBron James. One would expect that the senior James’ son might also be subject to the same critique.
However, Skip Bayless shocked many when he revealed that he’s a fan of Bronny James’ game and was supportive of the Lakers drafting him.

While this may feel like a departure from the usual criticism that Bayless has departed upon LeBron James, one may be wrong. In his praise for Bronny James, Bayless proved that he still hasn’t lost his fastball when it comes to criticizing the senior James.
Prior to the draft, Skip Bayless revealed that he believes that the 20-year-old Bronny James has a ‘greater clutch gene’ than his father.
Seasons will change, and the world will revolve, but some things never change when it comes to Skip Bayless.
