Bronny James would split his time between the Los Angeles Lakers and their G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers. It is a move that focuses on growth above fanfare. According to a report by ESPN, the son of LeBron James will travel with the Lakers for their upcoming road trip from October 28 to November 6. Afterward, he will divide his time between the two teams.

Bronny James made his NBA debut on October 22. He played three minutes alongside his father in the Lakers’ 110-103 victory over the Phoenix Suns. This historic moment marked the first time a father-son duo has played together in an NBA game. The rookie has a long way to go before becoming an integral part of the Lakers.

Furthermore, LeBron James had expressed support for the decision. The four-time champion stated it will aid Bronny’s development as a player. His son is expected to maintain a depth bench role for Los Angeles. However, he will likely start for South Bay in their opener against the Salt Lake City Stars.
