Jey Uso emerged victorious in a chaotic, fatal-4 way #1 contender’s match on the latest episode of Raw. It cannot be denied that it became an easier path for Jey after Braun Strowman was taken out of the equation. The former Universal Champion looked one step closer to challenging Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental title. However, Bronson Reed returned to stop Strowman in his tracks.
The Monster Among Men laid out his three opponents and set up for a big spot on the announce table. Behind him was Reed, who delivered a devastating crossbody through the desk. A couple of weeks back, the Aussie wrestler took out Strowman after hitting a Tsunami on him onto a car. Furthermore, the 36-year-old star was originally part of the triple threat qualifying match for the finals of the tournament.
Unfortunately, Reed contracted COVID prior to last week’s Raw episode. Not only was he removed from his scheduled bout, Adam Pearce replaced him with Strowman. As such, the 330-pounder lashed out at the decision on social media. Bronson Reed couldn’t comprehend why the man he had brutally attacked took his spot in the #1 contender’s qualifier.
Therefore, many fans predicted the outcome of the main event on Raw. After Braun Strowman was taken out effectively, the remaining participants battled it out in an entertaining close stretch. The ending saw Jey Uso hitting an Uso splash on Pete Dunne, following an H-Bomb on the latter by Ilja Dragunov. Moreover, Jey faced off with Bron Breakker, as the two will now square off for the Intercontinental title down the line.
