I think the showdown is a great, a showcase for bringing the two tours a bit together and I think we’re going to do next year. All of us can align and bring something bigger and better… LIV vs. PGA Tour Ryder Cup-style thing. This is, this is growing into a, a big thing and I think that’s what would draw the fans.

Brooks Koepka said as per Matt Vincenzi of Sports Illustrated

Koepka further added that the event is not just some friendly competition and expressed his desire to win against the best players.

I can promise you on the other side, they’re not sitting there wanting to lose. Rory doesn’t, Scottie doesn’t want to lose to us and there’s no chance (we want to lose), we’re too competitive on our side.

Brooks Koepka added

These words from Koepka also comes after he admitted that he was wrong about DeChambeau. The two golfers had some verbal spats before. However, since moving to LIV Golf, the two of them have toned down the beef and have started to respect each other after spending a lot of time together.
