Manchester United ace midfielder Bruno Fernandes showing absolute champions mentality as he believes the Red Devils can win the Champions League and FA Cup this season despite the inconsistency Manchester United have shown this season. The Portuguese midfielder also showed appreciation to fellow countryman Cristiano Ronaldo for his efforts and scoring some crucial goals since arriving at the club in the summer.
Bruno Fernandes completed two years as Manchester United player scoring 47 goals and providing 36 assists in 108 games in all competitions and that has already earned him the status of an elite Manchester United player. Manchester United are up against Atletico Madrid in the round of 16 of the Champions League with the midfielder believing that the squad has all the qualities to go all the way in the competition. Ralf Rangnick’s side are up against Middlesbrough next week in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
However the player agrees that the league title is out of reach and that the team should now focus on finishing in the top four and securing Champions League football for next season.
“Of course, in the league it’s too far now. We have to be realistic and we have to fight for the top four and being in the Champions League next season.” Fernandes said in an interview with The Mirror.
“But, at the same time, fight for the Champions League and the FA Cup. I don’t care what people think or can say about us winning the Champions League or FA Cup.”

It is fair to say that Manchester United are far from their best. However the squad is showing improvement under interim manager Ralf Rangnick as Bruno Fernandes and co are looking to make it three wins in three Premier League games when they face Burnley next. Bruno Fernandes form is pivotal going forward if Manchester United are to win a piece of silverware this season.
“I think we have the chance to win them, the qualities to win them and, most of all, we are in those competitions. Until we are out, we have to believe we can win those competitions.”
