As much as JJ McCarthy’s injury put a setback on his rookie career in the NFL even though there was very little possibility that he would start the season, it brings an opportunity for quarterback Sam Darnold whose position as the team’s starter is more or less confirmed.

Despite being known for his arm strength, Darnold’s NFL career has been spent under scrutiny over his ability to take upon the most crucial role in a team. But since he joined the Minnesota Vikings this offseason, he embarks on a new chapter professionally– which Mina Kimes admits might be the last chance for him to prove himself.
