Despite having two disappointing seasons with the Miami Dolphins, nothing has shaken Tyreek Hill’s confidence. After all, he did experience individual success, especially last year by recording 1,799 receiving yards resulting in him being ranked first in the NFL’s Top 100 Players of 2024, above his former teammate Patrick Mahomes.

As much as Mahomes’ rank below Hill surprised many, the star wide receiver appears to be using it to his advantage by asserting that he is better than the three-time Super Bowl champion. Upon hearing Hill’s immense confidence in his prowess, the Kansas City Chiefs fanatic and sports analyst Nick Wright didn’t hold back from calling him out.

In the recent episode of First Things First, Wright addressed Hill’s viral interview with the Up & Adams podcast, where he claimed he is better than the Chiefs superstar. He brutally trolled the wide receiver for taking pride in the NFL list even though his team has been stuck in the wild-card round of the playoffs since he joined.

I disagree with Tyreek [Hill], Chiefs fans don’t hate him. They love him and they love playing against him. I don’t begrudge Tyreek Hill at all because a list like this is now the only winning he’s going to get to do. Tyreek is one of the five best wide receivers I’ve ever seen in my lifetime… but he’s not gonna be competing for championships as long as he’s in Miami.

Wright clarified that on a personal level, he has no grudge against the NFL Cheetah for his wild claim of being better than the elite quarterback. While claiming, he wouldn’t succeed in Miami, the analyst believes Hill’s individual success will surely keep him on the top.

Tyreek Hill picked Tua Tagovailoa over Patrick Mahomes 

During the star receiver’s interview with Kay Adams, Hill in many words reflected that he doesn’t have the high level of respect for the reigning Super Bowl MVP as he used to. Not only does he believe he’s better than Mahomes, but also asserted that the Dolphins’ signal-caller Tua Tagovailoa is more of a prototypical quarterback than Mahomes. 

A lot of people like they may give me a hard time and say, ‘oh Patrick is one of a kind.’ Yes, he is. Patrick Mahomes is one of a kind. But I’m saying as far as a quarterback aspect wise or like what you think about like a prototypical quarterback, Tua is that guy.

Throughout his time in Miami, Hill has always had Tagovailoa’s back. When the quarterback was being criticized for his inadequate performance, the eight-time Pro Bowler came to his defense by praising him for his accuracy. He also supported the quarterback when he landed one of the highest-paid extensions when fans were questioning if he deserved it.
