Bryan Battle has successfully defeated Tresean Gore at UFC Vegas 47 using his genius gameplan of using kick heavy standup game and wearing out the powerful Gore with an immense amount of wrestling and clinch work, especially at the case side.

Before UFC Vegas 47, both Gore and Battle would’ve fought in the Ultimate Fighter Season 29 Finale had not Gore had to pull out because of the injuries, but seems like fate had something better for the fight as we saw tonight.

Round 1: Battle starts with kicking Gore. Changes levels from the body to legs of Gore. Battle seems in a much better shape. Gore lands a powerful right kick on Battle’s hands. Battle is constantly trying to chop down on Gore’s legs, particularly lead. A teep kick as well by Battle. Some attempts for head kick by Battle.

Gore holds one of Battle’s legs to return for a punch. Battle has started throwing hands as well. Battle is having good elusive movements to defend against Gore’s dangerous power punches. Battle is letting his hands go with a one-two. Leg kicks, teep kicks, one-two give Battle edge in the first round. FirstSportz scores it 10-9 Battle.

Round 2: Battle starts actively. Gore is trying to use his jab as well. One-two by Battle is money. Whenever cage side, Gore seems confident and therefore more active. Huge kick by Gore on the head. Battle seemed to wobble for a while. Now back from the centre, Battle immediately changes levels and goes for a takedown.

Battle is trying to wear out Gore in order to take the latter’s power off the punches. Battle is trying for an ankle pick takedown, Gore has somehow managed to get the fight back standing. Gore tries a near close standing guillotine choke when Battle goes for another takedown. Now the fight goes on the ground. Seems like Gore did some justice with this round. Round 3: Battle has got a badly swollen right eye. Gore has less volumed punches, but very very powerful punches. Battle is trying to use kicks to keep Gore out of the punching distance. Gore though doesn’t seem to slow down, rather he has a slow pace. Gore scores a big takedown. Battle back on his feet. Now Battle trying to get his own takedown. The fight is going in a clinch. Both the fighters go to another corner clinching. And while breaking, Gore lands some power shots.

The fight gets in the centre for some stand-up but again goes back to cage side in clinch and wrestling. Battle seems to have a good edge over Gore in wrestling. A minute to go, the fight goes very very close. Gore has thrown a powerful body kick. He is looking for a knockout punch but Battle has some answers as well. Battle is staying busy in the final 20 seconds. Both calculate till the final seconds. FirstSportz scores it a razor-close 10-9 in favour of Battle.
