Amidst Vince McMahon's son's recent meet with Tony Khan, a top-tier AEW talent has spoken about working together.

After remaining dormant on the wrestling circuit for quite a while, Shane McMahon‘s name is once again in the mix. Almost everyone is cognizant of his recent private meeting with Tony Khan. There’s a belief that McMahon was testing the waters with the privy link-up he had with the AEW president. However, if he does join All Elite Wrestling, he might get a chance to work with Bryan Danielson.
The former WWE Champion recently caught up with the Gorilla Position. Upon being asked about Shane-O-Mac and his recent advances, Danielson said he’s open to working with anyone and doesn’t hold grudges. Bryan continued saying that he already knew about Khan’s tete-a-tete with McMahon even before the AEW CEO notified him. That’s just because of that leaked photo, which was making the rounds on the internet.
The 54-year-old started reaching out to AEW talent not that long ago. It was the first time he fueled rumors of a potential switch to WWE’s rival company. Later, he ran into Mercedes Mone at an airport, as both were about to board their respective flights. By the looks of it, they were fortunate enough to talk for a while. Mone later confirmed that she did meet her former colleague at the LaGuardia airport in New York.
I'm open to working with anybody. I don't have beef with anybody. 100%. It was interesting because Tony mentioned to me after the photo came out, 'I didn't want to tell you this before, but I met with Shane McMahon.' I didn't say this, but I was like, 'Yeah, I know. There’s nothing to follow up on for now. However, in an interesting tidbit, it’s been learned that Shane McMahon tried to get back to WWE but was denied a return. The higher-ups reportedly showed no interest in having him back. At this point, things are quite hazy as far as Shane’s recent activity is concerned. It appears as if he’s slogging to get back to this business but wants to get the footing right.
Did Shane McMahon ever team up with Bryan Danielson in WWE?
Shane McMahon and Bryan Danielson go way back in time. Back when they were the authority figures on SmackDown, they used to pop up on television every now and then. More significantly, McMahon joined forces for Bryan’s in-ring return in 2018.
At WrestleMania 34, they went up against the duo of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. It was Danielson’s first match since his premature retirement in 2016. From there on, The American Dragon never looked back. He competed in WWE until mid-2021.
Once his contract expired, the 43-year-old debuted in AEW. And after a title-less stint thus far, Bryan finally has a chance at glory. At All In, he’ll take on Swerve Strickland for the AEW Championship at Wembley Stadium. The fans would be hoping for him to go for gold.
