Bryce Mitchell will face rising knockout artist Jean Silva in a highly anticipated main card clash at UFC 314. The rivalry between them has created immense hype, making fans extremely eager to witness the explosive featherweight showdown unfold. Both fighters are eager to win the bout and climb the featherweight ladder to challenge the top 5 fighters.
Silva initially called out Bryce Mitchell and urged UFC CEO Dana White to book the explosive featherweight clash right away. ‘Thug Nasty’ accepted the challenge, and both fighters engaged in a fiery and intense pre-fight press conference full of tension. Though Mitchell enters as the heavy underdog, he expressed confidence and dismissed betting odds with a fearless, positive attitude.
I believe so but I think this is a great time for all my friends to bet and make a tremendous amount of money off of me. So, go ahead and bet the farm. This is the best odds that I have had in a long time.

Mitchell is considered an underdog against Silva due to their recent fight outcomes and current momentum. He suffered a first-round knockout loss to Josh Emmett at UFC 296 in December 2023, raising concerns about his durability. He rebounded with a third-round knockout victory over Kron Gracie at UFC 310 in December 2024, but fans still have some doubts.

On the contrary, Silva has been on an impressive ten-fight win streak, including four knockout stoppages in the last five bouts. He has incredible striking prowess, which makes him dangerous and extremely entertaining for the fight fans. Going forward, he is incredibly invested in the rivalry with Mitchell, but remains definitely concerned about few things.
Jean Silva is doubtful about Bryce Mitchell’s mental health
Bryce Mitchell and Jean Silva’s rivalry has intensified through provocative verbal exchanges. At the UFC 314 pre-fight press conference, Silva taunted Mitchell by bringing a globe, mocking his flat Earth belief, and led a “F*ck Bryce Mitchell” chant. The American responded by claiming nightly demonic dreams since the press event, attributing them to Silva’s alleged possession.

Silva dismissed Mitchell’s accusations, suggesting fear of their upcoming fight was the cause. This exchange has fueled conspiracy theories about Silva’s intentions and Mitchell’s perceptions, adding intrigue to their April 12 bout. While the Brazilian has enjoyed this back and forth, he only hopes that Mitchell’s accusations are fake and all for the show.
I hope he doesn’t give in and succumb in the first round because I would love to have fun with [him]. I’m not loving some of the stuff he’s saying, obviously, and hopefully, he’s just trying to sell the fight because if he really means what he is saying, he’s messed up in the head.

He has criticized Elon Musk, calling him a “false prophet” and claimed that Musk’s ventures were part of an Anti-Christ agenda. He also voiced conspiracy theories about COVID-19, claiming it was intentionally released by the U.S. government for political purposes.

Mitchell strongly believes the earth is flat, rejecting mainstream scientific explanations and suggesting that the government controlled knowledge of gravity. Recently, he sparked controversy by praising Adolf Hitler based on his own research and denying the Holocaust’s reality.
Despite intense backlash from figures like Dana White, the UFC has not taken disciplinary action, citing Mitchell’s right to free speech. The American grappler’s outspoken views have heavily impacted his public perception, raising concerns about his mental health. However, for now, fans are more focused on this upcoming bout at UFC 314.
