Bryce Young hosted his first youth football camp in Charlotte, North Carolina for kids aged 6-13. His free admission camp ended up drawing 300+ kids. The Carolina Panthers quarterback ended up taking pictures with all of them. This wholesome interaction was noticed by NFL fans who then shared their reactions to the visuals.
Bryce Young wanted to give back to young kids who once had a dream like he did of playing in the NFL. Of course, whether the NFL views those kids as good enough to draft them is an altogether different story. However, that did not stop him from helping them at least get a start. He decided to host the camp through his Young 9 Foundation at the Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina. Close to where the Carolina Panthers are located.
As it was a free camp, more than 300 kids between the ages of 6 and 13 attended the camp. Bryce Young threw footballs for some of the kids to catch. He also had a few of his teammates such as Adam Thielen, Austin Corbett and others help him at this camp.
This football camp was in between their OTAs as they were accustomed to coming back to training at a high level before the next season starts. They are expected to take a major leap in their play. Off-season moves and a change in head coach will probably open up the offense for Young to thrive in.
Fans love what Bryce Young is doing for those kids
Not everyone sets up such camps for young kids to attend. More importantly, not many are free. Add to that the presence of other players from the Carolina Panthers and this camp was a major hit. The wife of owner David Tepper, Nicole, also showed up to support. But that taking pictures with kids and them pressuring him to throw a deep ball was wholesome enough for fans to react.
As soon as the pictures went online, they jumped at the chance and reacted. Check out some of those reactions below.
Next season, Bryce Young and his Carolina Panthers are expected to play much better than their woeful 2023 season. But he will definitely have these kids as his fans going forward.
