Ahead of the LIV Golf Adelaide event, Bryson DeChambeau has dropped a major claim. He insisted that him winning the Masters Tournament at the Augusta National was just a “matter of time“.

The Masters Tournament held at the Augusta National Golf Club, is one of the biggest events in golf history. The first major championship of the year sees several big names try to land the coveted green jacket in the month of April.

Just like any other golfer, DeChambeau wants to win here. In his 8 attempts so far, his best performance came last year.

During the 2024 event, the LIV Golfer finished T6, a spot below from where he started the day. He though believes that all of his previous experience will help him land the green jacket soon.

When I saw Augusta for the first time and experienced the people there and the pro shop, the people in the shop and the head pros that are there, they’re just fantastic. I just love coming back to Augusta every single year, and I really believe that I’m going to get it done there one of these days. It’s just a matter of time and continued hard work and learning from my failures.

Bryson DeChambeau said in an interview with Garrett Johnston of Golf Monthly

The year 2024 did turn out to be good for him on the PGA Tour. Following the top 10 finish at the Augusta, he finished 2nd at the PGA Championship a month later at the Valhalla course behind winner Xander Schauffele.

The next month, he did manage to do one better. In a tight contest, he took advantage of the slip of Rory McIlroy and came out as the winner of the U.S. Open, thus clinching a second win in this event. He later went on to miss the cut at the Open Championship.

So given his performances in the past few majors, DeChambeau might have a shot at fulfilling his career dream and wearing the green jacket.

DeChambeau, the World No. 10 golfer, has amassed a lot of popularity for his exciting golf content on YouTube. One of his most-watched series is the Break 50 series. In this, he joins some prominent names and attempts to shoot a score of 50 or lower in a two-man scramble.

Last time, he teamed up with NFL legend Tom Brady. Now he has sent a special invitation to another NFL star Saquon Barkley.
