Bryson DeChambeau and Team USA had another tough start to the Ryder Cup. The American side once again got dominated in the opening foursomes session and lost 3 out of the 4 matches. After losing both of his matches on Friday, DeChambeau admitted that he was “disappointed” with his start.
He paired up with fellow 2-time major champion Justin Thomas to take on his LIV Golf league mates Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton. He and Thomas got a good start and took the lead on the first hole. However, the Americans were unable to extend their 1-up lead.
After being tied till the 7th hole, DeChambeau and Thomas stumbled after the 8th hole. The duo of Rahm and Hatton came roaring back. The Europeans ended up winning the foursomes encounter 4&3 and gave their side the first point.

The Americans did make things interesting at the 17th hole, but a crucial putt from Rose at the 18th hole saw them emerge as the winners.

Despite playing some good golf, DeChambeau ended the day with a 0-2 record. After the round, the Crushers GC captain claimed that “luck” was not on their side on Friday.
Experience was great. 0-2 today, pretty disappointed. I played good golf, just not good enough, and they made everything. Luck is on their side right now… There were so many putts that just didn’t go in for us that went in for them.
Bryson DeChambeau told the reporters

Bryson DeChambeau walked alongside Donald Trump during afternoon session of Ryder Cup
US President Donald Trump would make an appearance at the Bethpage Black Course in New York during the afternoon session. The 79-year-old, who is a huge fan of golf, would met Bryson DeChambeau and walked with him alongside the greens.

DeChambeau has close ties with Trump. The golfer has played golf with him and even attended his Presidential victory celebration last year.
The 47th US President was seen standing outside the stands and greeted the 2-time U.S. Open winner with a handshake. After shaking hands with DeChambeau’s playing partner Ben Griffin, he would walk with the golfers towards the first tee. He would even share a fist bump with him.
