The final round of the Masters Tournament saw Bryson DeChambeau play alongside Rory McIlroy as the final pairing. Following the win of McIlroy, the American golfer opened up about getting snubbed by the Northern Irish golfer.

While DeChambeau and McIlroy do not have any bad blood between each other, they are also not exactly friends. The last time the duo went head-to-head against each other was in the final round of the U.S. Open. McIlroy would collapse late on as he missed two crucial putts, which allowed DeChambeau to come back and sweep home the title.

On Saturday, McIlroy was asked about his perspective on going up against DeChambeau and whether there was some revenge to be taken. The World No.2 dismissed that talks and remained unfocused on exacting revenge on his rival for the 2024 U.S. Open loss.

While McIlroy was locked in on Sunday, DeChambeau’s train went off the tracks a bit. The LIV Golfer finished the round with a score of 3-over 75 and claimed a T5 finish. After the round, he revealed how McIlroy did not talk to him once in the entire day.

No idea. I didn’t talk to him once all day. He wouldn’t talk to me.

Bryson DeChambeau told the reporters

The reason for this could be simple. McIlroy was focused on winning more than engaging in small talk. DeChambeau himself later added that he was “just being focused” and did not seem too bothered by McIlroy not speaking with him.

Many times, Spiranac had picked McIlroy as the winner of a competition. However, several times her prediction would go wrong. Last season before the PGA Championship, she did not pick him as the winner as he had “broken” her hearts several times.

This time, though, Spiranac once again picked him as the winner. Given the form he was in, several people had him as the favorite to win the Masters this year. After her successful prediction, she hilariously boasted about herself.

Not to make this about myself but I did pick Rory to win. Starting the major season off right

With the PGA Championship set to take place at the Quail Hollow Club, a course where McIlroy has achieve success in the past, and the Open Championship taking place in his home country of Northern Ireland, there are chances of him having a multi-major win season.
