Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo walks on Kareem Abdul Jabbar’s path with latest playoff performance vs Bulls in Game 1

Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Giannis Antetokounmpo
Milwaukee Bucks have been scheduled to lock horns against the Chicago Bulls in their first round series. With both teams enjoying spells at the top of the Eastern Conference during the regular season campaign, it is indeed hard to predict a guaranteed winner. However, with Giannis Antetokounmpo in fine form, he surely led the way for his team to draw first blood in Game 1 against DeMar DeRozan’s Bulls.
With the game not being a high-score contest, it was Giannis Antetokounmpo’s valiant efforts that got his team past the winning line. In the process, the Greek Freak went on the same path as legend Kareem Abdul Jabbar.
Giannis Antetokounmpo leads way for Bucks against Bulls

Giannis Antetokounmpo finished Game 1 of the first-round playoffs clash with 27 points, 16 rebounds, 3 assists and not to forget to two important blocks. According to ESPN Stats & Info, he now has 30 playoff games with at least 25 points and 10 rebounds–which is the second-most in Milwaukee Bucks history behind only Kareem Abdul Jabbar with 41 of such stat.
Making the record even more amazing, it should be noted that Giannis Antetokounmpo has only played in 65 playoff games in his career. That means he has recorded a 25-10 game in almost half of his playoff appearances. With the way he is playing, it is safe to assume that he is well on track to break Kareem Abdul Jabbar’s record. In fact, if the Milwaukee Bucks go deep this postseason, it is possible that he claims top place for the record this 2022.

That being said, it is surely not something which is on the mind of Giannis in the coming weeks but this stat surely speaks volumes about his successful and dominant stint in the NBA. Lastly, with Bulls just falling short of the Bucks in Game 1, all eyes will be on Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan as the away team would be itching to equalise the series before the action moves onto their home turn. Will Giannis once again steal the limelight? Remains to be seen.
