Gunther won the World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Damian Priest at SummerSlam. However, he had no time to relax as Randy Orton challenged him to a rematch on the latest episode of Raw. The Ring General accepted the challenge and will defend his title at Bash In Berlin. However, Bully Ray didn’t like that The Viper appeared on Raw while being a SmackDown superstar.

While speaking on the Busted Open Radio podcast, the 18-time world champion expressed his confusion about Randy Orton‘s appearance on Raw. He felt that WWE should’ve done a better job of making his appearance make sense. Bully Ray further added that the Stamford-based company once again didn’t consider the draft and allowed him to appear on the red brand.

During the promo, Orton said that everyone, including Triple H, knew that Gunther didn’t beat him clean. He echoed the boss’s statement that the WWE Universe deserved to see a rematch between the two stars. The Imperium leader admitted that not beating the Legend Killer clean left a stain on his legacy. He accepted the challenge, making this his first title defense since winning the championship at SummerSlam.

I still don't know how Randy Orton was allowed to show up on Raw, and once again them not sticking to the draft.. f**k insinuation, i don't want insinuation, i want it to make sense. Tell me Hunter knows I am here, and he is okay with it, just so I get it , 'Okay, that's why you came to Monday Night.'

Since his return last year at Survivor Series: WarGames, Orton has been fighting his battles against The Bloodline. He last appeared at SummerSlam to help his friend and current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes in his match against Solo Sikoa. Facing Gunther will keep him away from The Bloodline storyline for a while. Only time will tell whether he manages to win a world title after nearly four years.

Bully Ray didn’t like seeing the new World Heavyweight Champion Gunther in a suit

For the newly crowned World Heavyweight Champion, the mat is sacred, and in his opinion, a champion should be presentable, just like him. That’s why he wore a suit when he addressed the crowd on the latest episode of Raw. However, it seems that Bully Ray is completely against him wearing suits.

While speaking on the same podcast, the 18-time world champion stated that when they first saw Cody Rhodes, he wore a suit. However, when they saw Gunther for the first time, he wasn’t in a suit. That’s why wearing one now didn’t make any sense to him. Bully further added that the suit didn’t do anything for him.

From the very first time we saw Gunther, he looked like a cross between M Bison from Street Fighter 2 and with the aura of Darth Vader, he wasn't wearing a suit. Now all of a sudden you became a champion and you wear a suit? I don't think that suit did anything for him.

He even argued that The Ring General should have worn a suit when he was the Intercontinental Champion. However, Gunther did, in fact, wear a suit during his celebration as the longest-reigning I.C. Champion. Whether he’s wearing a suit or not, the WWE Universe loves him for his extraordinary wrestling prowess and amazing storytelling skills.
