Booker T doesn’t want John Cena to win the record 17th world title

As of now, Cena has won the most number of world titles, with 16, tied with WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair. During the post-show Money in the Bank press conference, the Leader of Cenation expressed his desire to win another world title. However, another Hall of Famer, Booker T, felt that he should not win the title at this stage of his career.

While speaking on his podcast, Hall of Fame, he completely rejected the idea of Cena winning the 17th world title. In his opinion, WWE shouldn’t give him a title, as it needs to be defended regularly. King Booker felt that he would not be defending regularly due to his busy Hollywood schedule.

I wouldn't put the title on him, just because it's the farewell tour. I wouldn't do it, because if you put it on him, he's gonna have to defend it. He's gonna have to go out and perform. That would be kind of hypocritical.

The 5-time world champ also called out his hypocrisy when he was in a rivalry with The Rock. He mocked The Great One for not defending his title due to movie commitments. Now that he wins the title and barely defends it, it would be hypocritical of him. Nonetheless, Booker T’s comments on whether Cena should win the title or not were somewhat critical.
